Also on Friday, Bovada, a Las Vegas sports-book, released updated odds for all the conferences, including the SEC. And like in the media vote, Alabama was the overwhelming favorite.
The Crimson Tide are the betting favorite, with 2/3 odds, meaning that you would have to bet three dollars to make two dollars. The next two teams with the best odds were SEC West powers Auburn and LSU. Both schools had 5 to 1 odds. Georgia had the best odds among the SEC East teams at 6-to-1 odds.
The teams with the worst odds all reside in the SEC East as Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri and Vanderbilt all have 100-to-1 odds or worse. Ole Miss is off the board due to its ongoing NCAA investigation. The Rebels are already ineligble for postseason play during the 2017 season.
