Verne Lundquist is a difficult name to replace on television. The broadcasting legend plans to retire at the end of the season with Brad Nessler taking his place on the SEC on CBS broadcasts.
Those who watch Florida-Arkansas Nov. 5 on CBS will get their first taste of what it’s like to hear Nessler on the call of Saturday afternoons in the SEC.
Brad Nessler will make his SEC on CBS debut calling Florida-Arkansas on Nov. 5 at 3:30 p.m. #Gators

Nessler has already worked with Gary Danielson when he called games for ABC in the late 1990s. He also has experience on Thursday and Monday Night Football games in the NFL while previously calling SEC basketball games as well.
Nessler will call the SEC game alongside Aaron Taylor. Lundquist and Danielson will head to Baton Rouge to call the LSU-Alabama game, which will kick off at 7 p.m.
