Which SEC team has the best looking uniforms?
That’s a debate that cannot be settled by any one article, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a civil discussion about it anyway.
While the uniforms have very little to do with what actually happens on the field on Saturdays, many college football fans seemingly place a very high level of importance on their team looking good.
That makes CBSSports.com college football writer Tom Fornelli’s article ranking the SEC football uniforms from worst to best a polarizing piece of work for SEC fans.
After all, it’s a competitive league and no one wants to be ranked last.
SEC Country’s David Collier recently ranked the SEC helmets from worst to best, which is a completely separate debate, but one totally worth having in July.
While Fornelli’s explanations and commentary can be found on CBSSports.com, here’s a look at how he ranked the uniforms:
12. Mississippi State
11. Texas A&M
9. South Carolina
4. Ole Miss
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that saying holds especially true for college football uniforms.
Uniforms that one person believes to be a “clean, classic” look could be “plain and boring” to the next. Likewise, a flashy new uniform style could be considered “cool” by some and “a disgrace to the game” by others.
Fornelli appears to lean toward the traditional look, as the top half of his rankings involve schools that have very little variation to their uniform from season to season.
Do you agree with these rankings? Is he even close? The debate rages on.
