Be ready for some potentially dirty tricks during the College Football Playoff national title game, Alabama fans. Clemson LB Ben Boulware is pretty much spelling it out as a part of the game the Tigers play.
On Wednesday, the senior linebacker came to the defense of teammate Christian Wilkins, who created quite a national stir by seemingly groping an Ohio State player during the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Most onlookers found it inappropriate, and that “kind of annoys” Boulware, per a transcription of his comments from Sports Illustrated’s Brian Hamilton.
In what turned into an epic rant, Boulware claimed that people who were offended by Wilkins’ actions “have never played the game, or were just losers who didn’t have any friends when they played the game.”

While it’s commendable to stick up for your teammate in the face of adversity, this feels like something Boulware may regret saying down the road.
