According to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, a prominent Power 5 coaching position has just opened up, as Cal has decided to fire head coach Sonny Dykes:

A long time assistant at schools like Kentucky, Texas Tech and Arizona, Dykes was the head coach at Louisiana Tech from 2010 to 2012 before moving on to Berkeley, where he compiled a 19-30 record over four seasons.
Dykes has reportedly clashed with the Cal administration in the past, and he even went so far as to interview with Missouri last offseason before Barry Odom eventually got the job.
The timing of Dykes dismissal — much later than similar moves — has fans speculating that Cal has their eyes set on recently-fired San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly, who led Oregon to much success early this decade, though there is little validity to those rumors at this time..
