Colin Cowherd waited until Monday to go on a rant about the SEC.
The Fox Sports analyst said the Urban Meyer-coached Ohio State Buckeyes would dominate if they had an SEC schedule.
Ohio State had the luxury of the big stage by playing in a rare Monday night college football game two weeks ago. No doubt, the Buckeyes took advantage, as highlighted by a ridiculous move from Braxton Miller that set social media on fire.
Ohio State won easily over Virginia Tech, 42-24.
Cowherd’s comments seem well-timed, with Arkansas losing to Toledo on Saturday.
Not to mention, much to the chagrin of the rest of the college football world — including SEC fans outside of Auburn — the Tigers eked out a narrow home victory over Jacksonville State.
Arkansas can go back to being Arkansas, and South Carolina – by losing to Kentucky – can make a Gamecocks’ win over Georgia so much more relevant.
Mississippi State dropped out of the top 25 by losing to LSU. Arkansas (obviously) dropped out of the top 25, and so did Tennessee with its double-overtime loss to Oklahoma.
Perhaps what Cowherd has overlooked is the parity of the SEC.
