After a wild Week 10 in college football, there was plenty of shakeup in the latest College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night.
For the second straight week, Clemson held onto the No. 1 spot. Alabama moved up to No. 2, with Ohio State (No. 3) and Notre Dame (No. 4) rounding out the coveted top four spots. If the season ended Tuesday, these four teams would make up the second Playoff bracket.
Alabama jumped LSU in this week’s rankings after the Crimson Tide pulled of a dominating 30-16 win against the Tigers over the weekend. Following last Saturday’s defeat, LSU dropped to No. 9 in the newest edition of the Playoff Top 25.
Mississippi State was the fourth and final SEC team ranked in the Playoff Top 25, coming in at No. 17 following a win over Missouri last Thursday. The Bulldogs will take on Alabama this weekend in Starkville, Miss.
Both Ole Miss and Texas A&M fell out of the Top 25 this week after suffering losses over the weekend.
