College GameDay analysts give predictions on UGA-Tennessee outcome
Tennessee hosts Georgia on Saturday afternoon (3:30 pm ET, CBS) in a battle of teams with their backs against the wall.
UGA is coming off a disastrous loss against Alabama, while Tennessee blew a big lead — again — to Arkansas. The schools’ respective coaches, Mark Richt and Butch Jones, will think long and hard about going out in public after a loss.
Here were GameDay‘s thoughts on Saturday’s game:
- Desmond Howard: “I’m gonna go with the Bulldogs. I think they’ll bounce back from that miserable loss last week to Alabama.”
- NBA Hall of Famer John Stockton (celebrity picker): “I’ve no particular reason, but I’m gonna take Tennessee, just kind of as a flier.”
- Lee Corso: “That’s a good reason. Georgia in an upset.”
- Kirk Herbstreit: “I just can’t imagine being the head coach that loses this game. There is a lot at stake for the coaches, and just trying to keep the mojo and the positive energy going after what happened last week. I’m gonna say Georgia, after the way they played last week, because of how strong they are up front.”
