Colin Cowherd calls out SEC
It didn’t take long for a national pundit to use Missouri’s lackluster performance Saturday against UConn as an invitation to take a swipe at the SEC.
Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports was not impressed with a 9-6 victory for the Tigers at home against an AAC opponent.
“U Conn gave Missouri—you know SEC Missouri—fits today. You’re delusional if you don’t see the conference is softest it’s been in years,” Cowherd tweeted.
The SEC also had tight games against lesser opponents last week when Auburn needed overtime to beat Jacksonville State and Arkansas lost to Toledo.
But Cowherd isn’t shy about making dramatic proclamations, and there are certainly places in SEC country where he’s not particularly popular (ask a Kentucky basketball fan about Cowherd’s takes on John Wall, for instance).
Hey, at least Cowherd is, or was, on the Arkansas bandwagon, right?
