Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was in the process of complimenting Alabama when he seemed to forget about a couple of SEC teams that gave the Crimson Tide some trouble this year.
Speaking at the College Football Playoff media days, Swinney said, “No other team can beat Alabama. I think we’re the only team that has a chance to.”

The problem with Swinney’s statement is that there is one team that’s had success against Alabama, and that’s Ole Miss. The Rebels beat the Crimson Tide two out of the last three seasons and were the only team this season to keep the final margin to single digits. The Rebels had a 24-3 lead against the Crimson Tide before falling 48-43.
Auburn has also had success against Alabama in recent seasons, knocking off the Crimson Tide in 2010 and 2013. Clemson knocked off Auburn 19-13 in the opening week of the season.
Clemson fell to Alabama last season 45-40 in the national championship game. The two teams meet in the national championship game on Monday. The Rebels finished the season 5-7.
