Despite losses, UGA heavily-favored over Missouri
UGA dropped its last two games, but Las Vegas still seems surprisingly confident in the Bulldogs.
UGA opened as 17-point favorites in Saturday’s game against Missouri, according to VegasInsider.com. The line currently sits at UGA -16.
Both teams will enter the meeting in Athens, Ga., following a loss. UGA (4-2, 2-2 SEC) blew a 21-point lead on the road to Tennessee before losing 38-31, while Missouri (4-2, 2-2) failed to score a touchdown in its 21-3 loss to No. 8 Florida.
Missouri started true freshman Drew Lock at quarterback the past two games, but this line could move if coach Gary Pinkel lifts the suspension for Maty Mauk and inserts him back in the starting lineup.
Last season, UGA shutout Missouri on the road 34-0, but the Tigers rebounded to win the SEC East.
Neither team is ranked this week, as the Bulldogs fell from the AP Top 25 for the first time in nearly two seasons.
This will be the first time Missouri plays an unranked Georgia team in SEC play. Bulldogs have been No. 7 (2012, '13) & No. 13 (2014) vs MU
