What, back in 1999, was originally called the Mobile Alabama Bowl changed sponsors, and therefore names, on Wednesday for the fourth time in its history.
Known as the GoDaddy Bowl since 2011, it will henceforth be the Dollar General Bowl, as the bowl announced the value store chain had bought the rights to be its title sponsor in a tweet Wednesday morning.

The dollar figure for the sponsorship has not been reported.
The bowl formerly known as the GoDaddy Bowl hosts teams from the MAC and Sun Belt conference at Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, most recently a Georgia Southern 58-27 win over the Bowling Green Falcons in 2015. It was the first time the game hadn’t been played in January since 2005, when it was still called the GMAC Bowl.
