For one of the biggest prospects in the state of Louisiana, Stephon Taylor’s recruitment has been awfully quiet.
However, as we creep into mid-January, the stars are beginning to align for the four-star defensive tackle.
Taylor is expected to make official visits to Texas on Jan. 15, Florida State on Jan. 22 and South Carolina last on Jan. 29, a source told SEC Country.
Earlier in the week, Taylor released a top five comprised of two SEC teams — LSU and South Carolina — as well as Texas, Oklahoma and Florida State.
Taylor specified that the top five was listed in no particular order.
The 6-foot-4, 292-pound prospect has already taken unofficial visits to LSU, Texas, TCU and Oklahoma.
Taylor is rated as the No. 29 defensive tackle in the nation and Louisiana’s No. 18 prospect, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
