ESPN College GameDay and SEC Nation experts give predictions on Alabama-Texas A&M outcome
Saturday’s showdown between No. 10 Alabama and No. 9 Texas A&M should be as close as their rankings indicate. The ESPN College GameDay panel brought in the Head Ball Coach, Steve Spurrier, and was split on who it thought would win the pivotal SEC West showdown.
Desmond Howard – Texas A&M
“I picked them to be one of the teams in the four-team playoff,” Howard said. “I’m going Texas A&M over Alabama.”
Steve Spurrier – Texas A&M
“If I was gambling on this I’d probably go with Alabama,” Spurrier said. “But since I’m only picking, I’m going to go with Texas A&M.”
Lee Corso – Alabama
“Not so fast again Ball Coach,” Corso said. “I’m going with the Tide. Special teams, the Tide’s going to win it.”
Kirk Herbstreit – Alabama
“I think Derrick Henry running the football, a balanced attack and I think Calvin Ridley really coming on,” Herbstreit said. “He’ll make some plays as well. Another true freshman having a great year. I like Alabama
The SEC Nation analysts were in agreement with their picks.
Tim Tebow: Alabama
“I think they’re playing like the best team in the country,” Tebow said.
Marcus Spears: Alabama
Greg McElroy: Alabama
Paul Finebaum: Alabama
