ESPN College GameDay and SEC Nation experts give predictions on Florida-LSU outcome
Two undefeated teams will square off in Death Valley when the No. 8 Florida Gators battle the No. 6 LSU Tigers Saturday night. Here’s what ESPN’s College GameDay and SEC Nation analysts thought about the game:
Desmond Howard: LSU
“LSU’s going to win this game, they’re going to win big too,” Howard said. “They’re going to create some turnovers on defense, get that offense a short field, Fournette’s going to have over 150 yards rushing, two touchdowns. I like LSU.”
Steve Spurrier: Florida
“I’ll tell you what, I like LSU,” Spurrier said. “It’s a very good team. Les Miles a super coach, Michigan man. But I like Jim McElwain, what he’s done at Florida, (athletic director) Jeremy Foley and those guys. The Gators, that’s where I went, my daughters, my wife. I’m going with the Florida Gators.”
Lee Corso: LSU
“LSU’s a big win this week,” Corso said.
Kirk Herbstreit: LSU
“Low scoring game, but the fact that Leonard Fournette is going to make a play I think late in the game, and also Brandon Harris scrambling I think will be a big key in this game for LSU,” Herbstreit said. “I like the Tigers.”
Here are the picks from the SEC Nation analysts:
Tim Tebow: LSU
Marcus Spears : LSU
Greg McElroy: LSU
Paul Finebaum: LSU
“Mike the Tiger or no Mike the Tiger,” Finebaum said.
