Another year, another slew of lists comprised of SEC players.
ESPN senior writer Mark Schlabach released his predictions for the 2016 All-American team on Thursday. It’s no surprise that the SEC landed several players on Schlabach’s list, led by Alabama with three. What is surprising, however, is that it didn’t have the most players among the conferences. That honor went to the Big Ten, which had eight players appear.
Here is a rundown of which SEC players made the cut.
Running back – Leonard Fournette, LSU
Wide receiver – Calvin Ridley, Alabama
Defensive end – Myles Garrett, Texas A&M
Defensive end – Jonathan Allen, Alabama
Linebacker – Reuben Foster, Alabama
Safety – Jamal Adams, LSU
