The next big thing in college football may be coming from Iceland of all places.
Iceland caught the world’s attention by making it to the quarterfinals of Euro 2016, and the slow-clap chant that its players and supporters do after every game that ultimately plays out like a musical accelerando is marvelous.
ESPN analyst Chris Fowler was among those who loved it, and he issued a challenge to college football fans to do the same this fall.
Wanna see a CFB student section adopt Iceland crowd overhead rhythmic clap thing! 30k doing that would look cool & could be intimidating.

SEC fans, are you listening?
Iceland’s chant reminds us of a number of other SEC chants and traditions that are so great. Surely there’s room for at least one more?
