It’s a 10-team race for Baron Browning and two of those programs reside in the SEC.
The five-star outside linebacker from Kennedale (Texas) High School released his top Top 10 late Wednesday night, and Alabama and LSU made the cut. Also joining them was Oklahoma, Michigan, UCLA, Southern Cal, Notre Dame, Texas, TCU and Ohio State.
“It’s been an honor to receive all the attention I have from all the schools that offered me and I’m forever grateful and thankful for the Universities that invested time in me as well as the relationships I’ve built.” Browning tweeted.
Browning recently took an unofficial visit to LSU on April 2, but is considered a Texas lean, with 42 percent of recruiting analysts picking the Longhorns as his eventual destination, according to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder is rated as the nation’s No. 17 overall player, the country’s No. 2 outside linebacker and the state of Texas’ No. 3 overall player.
