Feleipe Franks made it clear to SEC Country that he’s sticking to his commitment to Florida, despite rumors to the contrary.
The 4-star recruit also addressed Florida’s recruitment of Jacob Eason — the 5-star quarterback who will decide between the Gators and UGA (where’s he committed) — as well as the other quarterbacks he’ll compete with in Gainesville, Fla.
“Iron sharpens iron,” Franks told SEC Country. “It’s only going to get me better (and) it’s only going to get the other person better who’s there with me. I’m not going to say too much about it, but it definitely keeps you driven and keeps you humble.”
Asked specifically about Eason possibly joining the class, Franks said, “I’m not worried about it. I’m just focused on what I need to do and just trying to get myself better.”
Franks is one of Florida’s two quarterback commits in this year’s class, along with Kyle Trask of Manvel, Texas.
