The UCF National Champions craziness has reached the state government level.
According to a report from Gray Rohrer of the Orlando Sentinel, representatives in the Florida’s state legislature have filed a bill that would allow for the creation of specialty license plates which would highlight UCF as the 2017 National Champions.
“I am incredibly proud of our national champions,” said Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith (D) whose district includes UCF’s campus. “A UCF license plate is the perfect way to commemorate our undefeated Knights for achieving this historic milestone.”
The license plate provision is part of Florida’s HB1359, which also stipulates a requirement that 3,000 residents pre-order a new specialty plate before production can begin.
UCF has an enrollment of more than 64,000 students, so you’d think that 3,000 number would be relatively easy to achieve.
“I am incredibly proud of UCF’s 13-0 season,” said UCF graduate Rep. Amber Mariano (R). “We can argue statistics and strength of schedules, but you can’t argue a perfect, undefeated season.”

So Florida fans, could you imagine driving through your state and pulling up behind one of these bad boys? Would you be able to control yourself? UCF really has no chill.
