You never know who you might bump into on the recruiting trail.
This week, head coaches of rival SEC schools ran into each other in – out of all places, Montgomery, Ala. – while courting some elite prospects in the area.
And somebody was somehow able to convince UGA’s Kirby Smart and Florida’s Jim McElwain to pose together in the awkward picture, along with their assistant coaches.
You don’t see that often, but anything can happen on the recruiting trail, when college coaches are obliging – even Nick Saban with these dance steps – in order to win favor with recruits and their families.
Why Montgomery? That’s the hometown of 5-star linebacker Lyndell Wilson (undecided) and 3-star safety Jeawon Taylor (committed to Florida). Both players took an official visit to UGA two weeks ago, and they’re scheduled for a recruiting trip to Florida this weekend.
