A former Alabama running back is looking to make his way back to the SEC.
Tyren Jones, who signed with Alabama in 2013 but was kicked off the team in the spring of 2015 after a marijuana arrest, will visit Auburn this weekend, Hutchinson coach Rion Rhoades told SEC Country.
After getting kicked off the team, Jones transferred to Hutchinson Community College in Kansas where he rushed for 658 yards and scored five touchdowns.
Jones does not have an offer from Auburn. The Tigers have a running back commit in this year’s class in Malik Miller.
As a recruit, Jones was rated a 4-star prospect and was the nation’s No. 9 running back.
