Former LSU and UGA quarterback Zach Mettenberger is searching for a new NFL home.
Mettenberger was waived by the Tennessee Titans on Monday after two seasons with the team. The quarterback should be picked up by another team on Tuesday, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The Titans were winless in Mettenberger’s 10 appearances as a starter over the last two seasons. In total, he appeared in 14 games, completing 60.3 percent of his passes for 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
Mettenberger transferred to LSU in 2011 after being dismissed from UGA in 2010. He posted a 19-6 record as the Tigers’ starter in 2012 and ‘13. The Titans originally selected Mettenberger at No. 178 overall in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
