Three former SEC players are among those current and former NFL stars who will make cameo appearances on the hit HBO show Ballers this season.
The second season of Ballers started Sunday and stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a retired former player who now serves as a financial manager and advisor to other current and former players. Kelley L Carter at The Undefeated tells us that former Ole Miss standout Laquon Treadwell, former LSU wide receiver Jarvis landry, and former Alabama star Dwight Stephenson are among those who will appear on the show this season.
ESPN previously reported that NFL commssioner Roger Goodell and some league owners tried to prevent NFL players from making appearances on the show because of the way it depicts life off the field in the league. Ballers Executive producer Mark Wahlberg said the show attempts to be as real as possible in depicting the NFL lifestyle.
