The FWAA announced its All-America team Monday, and 14 SEC players made the cut.
The conference had eight first-team All-Americans. Six were on defense, and two were on offense. Alabama led the conference with four All-American selections, all on the first team. LSU had three selections overall, and Texas A&M had two.
Alabama DE Jonathan Allen, LB Reuben Foster and DB Marlon Humphrey were all first-team All-Americans on defense. Crimson Tide OL Cam Robinson made first-team offense.
The SEC’s other first-team All-Americans were LSU OL Ethan Pocic, Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett and Vanderbilt LB Zach Cunningham.
The conference also had six players on the second-team unit. Four were on defense, including Tennessee DE Derek Barnett, LSU LB Kendall Beckwith, LSU DB Tre’Davious White and Florida DB Jalen “Teez Tabor.” Two more SEC players were on special teams: Auburn K Daniel Carlson and Texas A&M PR Christian Kirk.
