ATHENS, Ga. — Auburn’s looking to move closer to a possible SEC West title. Georgia’s looking to play spoiler.
The No. 9 Tigers (7-2, 5-1 SEC) travel to face the Bulldogs (5-4, 3-4) at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday. The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry has intrigue this year, as the Tigers need to win to continue its path toward a do-or-die Iron Bowl. If Auburn enters Thanksgiving Week with just one conference loss, then its game against Alabama will determine the SEC West champion.
Georgia looks for its first conference winning streak under new coach Kirby Smart, and an upset of Auburn would certainly be a salve for some of the first-year wounds for Smart’s Bulldogs.
