The three-star wide receiver from Colquitt County High School (Moultrie, Ga.) received an offer from the Gamecocks in early December shortly after Muschamp was hired. He has been heavily recruited by South Carolina ever since and took an official visit to Columbia, S.C. on Jan. 15.
Pollard’s commitment gives the Gamecocks four wide receivers for its 2016 class, including four-star Bryan Edwards and three-stars Chavis Dawkins and Diondre Champaigne. South Carolina now holds 24 commitments in this year’s class with National Signing Day (Feb. 3) just days away.
Pollard is rated as the nation’s No. 67 wide receiver and the state of Georgia’s No. 36 prospect.
