Greg Sankey was in auxiliary seating for the 2017 NCAA Tournament on Thursday. Make that very high, far away auxiliary seating, actually.
The SEC commissioner tweeted a picture from his seat in the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., during the first slate of matchups. And, well, let’s just say that there were quite a few people in attendance that were closer to the action than Sankey.
While Sankey did have seats right at midcourt, it was a many rows up from the court. Just take a look.

Sankey tweeted the picture during the UNC Wilmington-Virginia game, but it was the next scheduled game that had the commish’s interest. Florida is playing East Tennessee State in a No. 4 seed vs. No. 13 seed matchup.
Perhaps Sankey will have a better seat if he elects to head to Greenville, S.C., on Friday. The SEC has a pair of teams playing there — Arkansas and South Carolina.
But for now, this seat will just have to do.
