Shavers also has in-state schools Texas and Texas Tech, as well as Miami and Florida State, in the running for his services.
The 6-foot-6, 202-pounder holds 26 reported offers, but Texas is the favorite to land his commitment, according to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions.
Shavers is also a baseball star and may be looking to play both sports in college. That may factor into his ultimate decision.
The Texas product is rated as the No. 33 player in the Lone Star State in next year’s class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
