Alabama and Texas A&M figures to be on the marquee games of the week, as both teams are ranked in the top 6,
But Vegas seems to think that the game won’t be all that close. Las Vegas has Alabama as a 17-point favorite against Texas A&M. Alabama was a big favorite over Tennessee, and the Crimson Tide covered with ease.
But history tells us that Alabama’s game against the Aggies will be much, much closer. In fact, history says Alabama could potentially lose.
Per Chris Fallica of ESPN, there have been three instances of a top-6 matchup featuring a two touchdown favorite. Two of those three favorites lost, and the third won by only five.

The Crimson Tide being the first two-touchdown favorite in a top-6 matchup shows just how dominant the Crimson Tide have been this year. Alabama has outscored its opponents by an average of 30.4 points per game. Texas A&M is coming off a bye week, after the Aggies beat Tennessee in double overtime.
