Remember when Jim Harbaugh was being compared favorably to Alabama coach Nick Saban after taking the college football world by storm in his return from the NFL?
Life comes at you fast.
In just Year 3 of his tenure at Michigan, Harbaugh now finds himself on the receiving end of criticism from Wolverines fans who are expected better things from their former QB turned head coach. It seems sleeping over with recruits, taking trips to Europe and invading SEC country for satellite camps is not as cute when you’re not winning games.
Of course, rational fans will point out that Harbaugh is 25-8 in 33 games at Michigan. But on Saturday night, those who are rational about things were being shouted over by those who are frustrated by the lack of Big Ten championships and College Football Playoff appearances, both of which appear to be slipping out of reach with the team’s second conference loss of the season.
In the midst of an embarrassing 42-13 loss to James Franklin’s Penn State team that dropped Michigan to 5-2 on the season, some of the Michigan faithful decided to let their criticism be known on social media:
Jim Harbaugh is not the answer. He does not develop QB's. 1-2 MSU, 0-2 vs OSU. Brady Hoke 2.0 with team field trips to Europe. He must go!

Unacceptable for Michigan’s offense to be THIS bad in year 3 of Harbaugh!! Ridiculous.

Harbaugh is no better then any other hack 5th place coach in country … has his own recruits and doesn’t have Oline qb skilled players

Harbaugh and his million dollar coaching staff will all sleep soundly tonight. Should be ashamed for this robbery.

Laughing stock this is a joke on national tv getting your ass kicked!!!!!!! Over rated harbaugh no excuses 3 years to get it together still

Harbaugh's style of coaching is 20 years out of date and is completely fitting of a Michigan program that lives in the 20th century still.

Some SEC-based pundits also had a little fun at Harbaugh’s expense on Saturday night:
Pay Jim Harbaugh $20 million a year, Michigan! Ass. Kicking. Cha Ching.

With this loss, Michigan will now be T-4th place in the Big 10 East with Rutgers.
Jim Harbaugh will be 6-5 in his last 11 games.

It’s worth noting that all of Michigan twitter has not turned on its coach, but it is still funny to see the Big Ten fan base who has been so sure of its head man squirm a little.
