By taking precautions against Hurricane Matthew and canceling its home game against LSU, Florida comes out of the fiasco the real loser — at least for 2016.
Look ahead to 2017, though, and things look better for the Gators — especially their season-ticket holders. To make up for losing the home game against LSU this season, the Tigers agreed to travel to Gainesville next season, setting up back-to-back LSU-Florida games in The Swamp.
It leaves the Gators with a top-notch home slate in 2017. The Tigers, on the other hand, face a brutal road schedule next season.
Florida next year will have these home games — Tennessee, LSU, Texas A&M and FSU. Think about that.
