Tua Tagovailoa, the nation’s No. 2 dual-threat quarterback, will announce his college decision around 12 a.m. ET.
The four-star prospect’s college finalists are Alabama, Southern California, Ole Miss, UCLA, Texas A&M and Hawaii.
Over the past several months, Alabama has become a serious contender and is the school that SEC Country is predicting Tagovailoa will commit to when he does announce his decision. Do not count out Southern Cal, though. The Trojans led for most of his recruitment, and it’s a program that he has classified as his “dream school.”
Tagovailoa and his family visited Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss a few weeks ago. The family ended up falling in love with the South.
Tua’s father, Galu, told SEC Country that if a decision was made a few weeks ago, he believes his son would have committed to Alabama.
“If it was made today, just with what has happened this week, it would be Alabama,” Galu said on April 11. “Again, because of the relationship we built with them. Our relationship with Alabama has kept growing. This is just my opinion but it would be Alabama.”
We’ll see where Tagovailoa plans on playing college football in just a few hours. You can watch him make his decision live using the link below.
