On Saturday, it was reported that legendary and revered play-by-play announcer Keith Jackson has passed away at the age of 89.
Known for his distinctive voice and cadence — those who heard him call a Rose Bowl will never forget the way he said ‘The Granddaddy of Them All’ — Jackson is perhaps the broadcaster most closely associated with college football in the history of the sport.
