Every college football fan has a Brent Musburger memory.
Whether it be the signature “You are looking live…”, his controversial comments about Katherine Webb during the national title game or one of the dramatic calls over decades of manning the announcers booth in key college football games, he’ll always have a place in the memory bank of college football fans across the country.
ESPN announced that Musburger, 77, will retire from broadcasting at the end of January. It was an abrupt announcement coming on the heels of some controversial comments during his final Sugar Bowl broadcast, and the internet had some mixed reactions to the news.
