It’s a pretty big deal when Jim Harbaugh shows up at your high school this close to signing day, and you’re only a junior.
That’s the deal with Davis Mills, the 4-star quarterback from Greater Atlanta Christian (Ga.).
This week is one of the biggest of the year for college football recruiting, with coaches hitting the road due to the completion of the regular season,
Normally, the head coaches visit high school seniors, with signing day two months away for the 2016 class.
But Jim Harbaugh being Jim Harbaugh turned heads by spending one of his first days on the road by going far, far away to see a junior. Surely Mills won’t forget it.
Mills has more than 20 early offers, including many SEC schools such as Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Vanderbilt.
And most of the rest of the SEC will look closely at the kid who some scouts consider to be “Georgia’s best quarterback, regardless of class.”
Florida is heavily scouting Mills, and he could possibly be getting close to getting an offer from UGA.
