The never-ending war between Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and the SEC continues as Harbaugh’s summer satellite camp tour will make a stop in Mississippi in June, according to Pearl coach John Perry.
Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze and Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen will now add Harbaugh’s Wolverines to the long list of schools they regularly have to fend off to keep the state’s elite talent at home.
The camp will be held June 8 and will be hosted by Pearl High School, located in a suburb of Jackson, Miss.
Harbaugh’s camps began last summer during his first year as Michigan’s coach. He has held camps throughout the southeast, and this will be his first venture into Mississippi.
Freeze was one of several SEC coaches to speak out against Harbaugh’s tactic to invade SEC territory when Michigan spent a week of spring practice at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., earlier this month.
Harbaugh has not been shy about firing back at SEC coaches on Twitter.
