Kirk Herbstreit has had enough of Danny Kanell’s thoughts on the Alabama-Ohio State debate.
Kanell was incensed on Sunday when the College Football Playoff committee selected Alabama over Ohio State for the fourth and final spot in the playoff, and he even took a shot at ESPN in the process:
So your 2017 Made For TV Ratings Invitational will be:
1. Clemson vs 4. Bama
2. Oklahoma vs 3. Georgia

Herbstreit, who was notably shocked when the committee picked the Tide, took exception.
Dude..what has happened to you?? Seriously. You’re a good guy—and I get the whole “anti SEC guy” you’ve created, but you think ESPN wouldn’t LOVE to have Ohio St in this??? They’re a RATINGS BONANZA!! Cmon dude!! You’re better than that!!! https://t.co/646E9Xbwq6

Herbstreit and Kanell are former colleagues, working together at ESPN until Kanell was laid off in April. Since leaving The Worldwide Leader, Kanell has seemed to take a strong anti-SEC stance. In this case, good on Herbstreit for calling him out.
