Kirk Herbstreit hosted College GameDay from New York City on Saturday morning, but it didn’t keep the longtime ESPN analyst from getting a good look at the college football landscape during Week 4.
On Monday morning, the former Ohio State quarterback dropped his Top 5 performances of Week 4 for both teams and individuals. And the SEC received some love on both lists.
Alabama checked in at the No. 3 team performance on the list after a 59-0 beatdown of the Commodores at Vanderbilt Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide outgained Vanderbilt 677 yards to 78 in front of a national television audience, but Herbstreit still liked the performance of TCU in a win over No. 6 Oklahoma and a 37-10 road win for Washington over Colorado better.
On the players side of things, Herbstreit picked Texas A&M star Christian Kirk as his No. 2 player performance of the week. During a 50-43 overtime win against Arkansas, Kirk had 5 receptions for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to take a lead in the fourth quarter.
Here’s a look at Herbstreit’s complete list:
