Lane Kiffin hasn’t wasted any time pulling stuff out of his deep bag of tricks, and one of them resulted in a former Auburn quarterback catching a touchdown pass early in the Conference USA Championship Game.
On Florida Atlantic’s second possession of the game, all the team needed was two plays with reverse concepts to get in the end zone. The first one went for 49 yards on a run that featured a fake handoff for a reverse.
That put the Owls at North Texas’ 22-yard line, where John Franklin III took the snap before sneaking out and hauling in a pass for an easy trip to the end zone.
2-plays, 72 yards.
FAU extends its lead with this TD from Kamrin Solomon to John Franklin III.

Here’s a look at the play before that, which had some nice jukes from Kalib Woods.
