Lane Kiffin is a polarizing name in coaching searches and discussions of coaching rumors.
He has an excellent track record as a coordinator but a not-so-great one as a head coach.
However, even as his name circulates as a possible option at bigger programs, Kiffin does not feel the need to return to a Power 5 school.
The Florida Atlantic coach discussed his future on ESPNU Radio on Friday morning. Listen below:

“When I say I am happy here I really am,” Kiffin said. “It’s a very unique situation [at FAU]. We have a great team and a ton of them come back, and we love living here.”
Kiffin has his Owls in a good position, at 7-3 and heading to a bowl game. FAU has more wins than Florida and Florida State combined, as Kiffin made sure to point out earlier this week.
It’s hard to blame Kiffin for not wanting to leave. His team is winning, he works in Boca Raton, has much less pressure on him than at a big-time program, and he gets to have a bunch of fun on the field and on the internet.
Looks like #ComeToTheFAU is more than just a Twitter play. Kiffin will be at FAU as well.
