It’s been over a decade since Tennessee has beaten Alabama, so any small victory counts.
And on Saturday, one sneaky Tennessee fan took a jab at the Crimson Tide by writing “Go Vols!” in orange and white chalk outside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Since Nick Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa, it’s been tough sledding for the Volunteers. Tennessee has lost 10 straight games in the series, including a 49-10 thrashing in Knoxville in 2016. The Volunteers’ last win in the series came in 2006.
The two teams are set to meet on Oct. 21, the third Saturday in October, in Tuscaloosa. Both teams open their seasons against ACC teams in Atlanta, as Alabama plays Florida State on Sept. 2 and Tennessee faces Georgia Tech on Sept. 4. Both games will be played in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
