We’re one step closer to seeing Mercedes-Benz Stadium come to life.
On Wednesday, the Atlanta Falcons used Twitter to publish a picture that showed the earliest stages of the artificial turf being installed at the new Atlanta facility, which will host the SEC Championship Game starting this year. The stadium is set to host major college football action early in the season, with Alabama and Florida State playing on Sept. 2 and Tennessee and Georgia Tech facing off on Sept. 4.
Check out the sight below, and try not to be excited for the coming season.

After all the planning, visions and talk about what the facility will look like, we’re nearing the point when Mercedes-Benz Stadium will become one of the country’s premier sporting sites.
We’re almost there, all.
