Former South Carolina offensive line commit Lloyd Cushenberry III will instead stay home.
The three-star guard flipped from the Gamecocks to LSU in a surprise decision on National Signing Day.
Cushenberry’s commitment is a welcomed addition to LSU’s 2016 class, as the Tigers struck out on both offensive linemen targets in the past 24 hours. Scott Lashley committed to Alabama and Jauan Williams pledged to Florida State, despite LSU being finalists for both four-star linemen.
A Dutchtown, La., native, Cushenberry is the No. 78 player from the state of Louisiana.
He becomes the fourth offensive lineman and second offensive guard in LSU’s 2016 class.
