LSU landed yet another in-state prospect on Monday.
Travez Moore, a 3-star recruit from Bastrop High School (Bastrop, La.), committed to the Tigers this afternoon, he confirmed to SEC Country. He spurned both South Carolina and TCU in the process.
“I trust them and the plans they have for me on defense,” Moore told SEC Country. “When I went down there during the spring, I saw how hard they practiced. I really bought into the program. And when I thought about it, I could really see myself playing for LSU.”
Moore conceded the decision was a difficult one between the Gamecocks, Tigers and Horned Frogs. He admitted he was close to committing to TCU.
“I thought about it, and I felt I’d be a better fit in LSU’s defense,” Moore said.
A 6-foot-3, 235-pound defensive end, Moore would give LSU its 20th commitment in next year’s class and the sixth defensive lineman commit overall.
He is rated as the No. 35 player in the state.
