LSU opens as slight favorite over Texas A&M
The LSU Tigers have lost three consecutive games, but Vegas doesn’t seem to care all that much.
LSU was listed as a four-point favorite over Texas A&M for Saturday’s regular-season finale at Tiger Stadium, according to VegasInsider.com. The Tigers were nothing short of dysfunctional in losses to Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss. The poor performance has generated plenty of reports and rumors about coach Les Miles’ future with the program.
The Aggies have not been much better, however. Texas A&M has played sluggishly since dropping consecutive games to Alabama and Ole Miss in the middle of the season. The Aggies were beaten at home by lowly Auburn and are coming off mediocre wins against Western Carolina and Vanderbilt.
The Tigers have been far better covering the spread at home than on the road. LSU is 4-6 against the spread, with all four wins coming at Tiger Stadium. LSU did not cover its most recent home game against the Razorbacks, however. The Aggies are 5-5 against the number and have covered in two of their three road contests.
Despite both teams disappointing in 2015, this game could still have serious bowl ramifications.
