GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida coach Jim McElwain is set to make his final pitch to 5-star quarterback Jacob Eason.
The UGA commit from Lake Stevens (Wash.) is receiving an in-home visit Thursday night from McElwain and Gators offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier.
The Elite 11 finalist officially visited Florida last week, spending three nights in Gainesville and leaving with early enrollment paperwork.
“It was good,” Eason said of his UF trip in an interview with SEC Country. “I found a lot of cool insight on a potential place I’m going to go to college.”
This week Eason visited in-state Washington, but the Huskies are not considered a threat to UGA. Eason is scheduled to visit Georgia this weekend, then choose between UGA and Florida shortly thereafter.
“Should be around next week sometime because I’m going to be out of here in January,” Eason told SEC Country. “I’ll take my trip to Georgia, come back, talk with family and hopefully have a decision by then.”
