Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh calls out ‘Pete’ Finebaum on Twitter, calls him ‘SEC water carrier’
Think what you will about Paul Finebaum, but the man is certainly not afraid of getting under other people’s skin.
His latest irritant — and not for the first time — is Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, no stranger to controversy himself. On Thursday night, Harbaugh took to Twitter to call out Finebaum by name, calling him an ‘SEC water carrier’:
Pete Finebaum, the unabashed SEC water carrier, really needs to get his facts straight. #AlternativeFacts

It’s not totally clear what prompted this response, but Finebaum did have author John U. Bacon on his show today to discuss Michigan’s hiring of a top recruit’s father. Bacon said the following during that interview:

But whether it was that what bothered the Michigan head coach, or whether it was something else, the Finebaum-Harbaugh rivalry has taken yet another turn and it shows no signs of slowing down in the near future.
Update: The SEC Network’s Twitter account has responded to Harbaugh on Finebaum’s behalf:
