ESPN continued its massive shift in programming when it announced Tuesday it will end an 18-year run for Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg as hosts of the popular ESPN Radio show Mike & Mike.
Both Mikes will remain with ESPN and even host shows during the morning time slots, just not together anymore. The decision left many people upset, including Golic’s son Jake.
The younger Golic, who is a former Cincinnati football player not employed by the Worldwide Leader, took to Twitter to vent his frustration with the decision on Wednesday morning.
For the ESPN haters among the crowd, these tweets were honest, raw and delicious:
Jake’s dad didn’t take quite the same approach to the news.
In fact, both Mikes had a chance to share their thoughts on the upcoming breakup during Wednesday’s show. And both did so with class, though it was apparent they may not agree with the decision.

In the meantime, we’ll enjoy what’s left of this ESPN classic until the network does away with it later this year. Golic will join long-time ESPN personality Trey Wingo on a morning show, while Greenberg will host a separate show with yet-to-be-announced personalities set to join him.
