With just 20 days to go until National Signing Day, the nation’s best junior college player has decided to narrow down his list to eight schools.
Jonathan Kongbo, a four-star defensive end from Arizona Western Community College, by way of Surrey, British Columbia, included Alabama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida State, Oregon, Oklahoma, USC and Washington in his list of favorites, according to his Twitter account.
The 6-foot-6, 264-pounder, who de-committed from Tennessee earlier this month, will take an official visit to Alabama on Jan. 22. He has already visited Oregon State, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Many recruiting analysts believe Alabama is in the driver’s seat to land his commitment, despite his 247Sports Crystal Ball indicating Oregon has the advantage.
Kongbo started his college career at Wyoming before transferring to Arizona Western. He’ll have three years of eligibility at whichever school he decides to enroll in.
